  • Sandies are side games that can be played on their own or with other games. As the name suggests, this game involves sand.
  • Before the game starts, players decide a value amount for the Sandie, for example, $1 or $2 for each sandy.
  • A Sandie is usually awarded for making par or better on a hole after being in the bunker at some point during the hole. It could be the fairway bunker or the greenside bunker. This is also known as “getting up and down” from the sand.
  • If a player makes par or better after hitting the ball into two bunkers, they earn a double sandy. Similarly, if a player makes par or better after hitting the ball into three bunkers, then they earn a triple sandy, which is triple the amount of the original sandy.
  • At the end of the round, the amount of all Sandies is calculated and paid out to the players.
  • One player receives the predetermined amount from every other player for their Sandies. For example, suppose Player A hits their drive in a bunker but still make par on that hole. Player A earns one Sandie, and at the end of the round, they receive the predetermined amount ($1, $2, etc.) from every other player.
